Thanks to all who voted in the December election.  We welcome our new board members; Lynda Lee Laberge, Margarett Roy, Gail Schipper, Dani Cerne, and Uli Franz.  Cathy Williams and Ute Kaden will be continuing on the Board.  Many thanks for the service of our departing members;  Mary Rust, Elizabeth Tattersall, Val Paget, Irena Raymond, and Irit Abramovich.  Your new board will meet for the first time on February 5th.  Please continue to share your concerns and agenda items with us.

That was a lively and fascinating Zoom discussion on January 10th with 30 participants and many more members sending in comments!  With the approval of the vast majority of participating members, WSPA’s new ByLaws (which allow full membership privileges to all female applicants) will continue without a new vote.  The board and a new ByLaws committee will be considering future revisions that may in some way limit the control on the board of women who were never glider pilots.

The 2021 soaring season and a COVID immunized WSPA membership is in our view.  I anticipate some great flying!  Watch the web site and newsletter for news and new opportunities.
